Thierry Boutsen, Belgian, who lives in Monte Carlo with his wife Daniela, has been successful in many categories of racing. He is not only known in racing for his speed though: the trained engineer is also known for his comprehensive technical feeling and understanding for machinery, making him a much sought-after test and development driver.
Born on July 13, 1957, in Brussels, Thierry Boutsen owes his fame mainly to 10 years racing in a Formula 1 cockpit. Three times Grand Prix winner with the Willams Formula 1 Team in 1989 and 1990, with 164 starts, 132 World Championship points, 15 Podiums, he collected also his experience and success in endurance racing, winning the famous Daytona 24 Hours in 1985, the Group C Endurance World Championship for his team in 1986, being also the 1998 USRRC GT1-Champion.
His hobby has always been... Aviation: having more than 14 years experience in the private flying business as self-organized aircraft owner and pilot, with over 2.000 flight hours in his LR 35-A, C501SP, etc., he has founded Boutsen Aviation in 1996. His wife Daniela, former owner of an Agency for Promotions, Marketing and Personal Services founded 1991 in Berlin, has sold her agency to join forces with her husband and lead with him the very efficient team, being responsible for Marketing and Research.
We are located in the most fascinating landscape of Europe, the Principality of Monaco. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, between France and Italy, we are in the middle of East and West.
