Dominique Trinquet’s career began with a passion for aviation, leading him to undertake airline pilot training at ENAC, where he obtained his Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). He gained early flight experience in Paris before moving to the French West Indies in 1992, where he served as an airline pilot. Upon returning to France, he built strong operational expertise as a captain on various jet aircraft. Combining his technical background with a commercial focus, he transitioned into aircraft brokerage in 1994 as Sales Manager at a firm based in Le Bourget, Europe’s leading business aviation airport, later expanding his experience in aircraft sales, delivery, and test flying. Dominique joined Boutsen Aviation in Monaco in 2000 as a shareholder and Sales Manager, and has led the company as President since 2015, overseeing its continued development in the international business aviation market.”
Former Formula One driver Thierry Boutsen founded Boutsen Aviation in Monaco in 1997, emerging as one of the early recognized figures in the European pre-owned business aviation market. His interest in aviation began during his racing career, when he acquired his first aircraft in 1987 and went on to upgrade it over time, developing a strong understanding of the market and aircraft operations. Having personally completed several aircraft transactions, Thierry became a trusted advisor to fellow drivers and contacts, ultimately founding Boutsen Aviation in 1997. Over nearly three decades, Boutsen Aviation has established itself as a recognized player in the European business aviation market, with transactions completed across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
Jonathan Courtin trained at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy, where he completed the theoretical part of his Airline Transport Pilot Licence, graduating top of his class, before continuing his practical flight training with CAE in Phoenix, Arizona.
He also studied Air Transport Management at Buckinghamshire New University and gained experience in private aviation with Blade Europe, as well as in flight operations with Menzies Aviation.
He joined Boutsen Aviation in 2024 and is involved across sales operations and market intelligence, supporting the team in market analysis and transaction execution.
Filippo Maria Arcaleni is an aviation lawyer based in Malta. He serves as Vice Chair of the Aviation Lawyers Committee of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and sits on the board of the Malta Business Aviation Association as Director of Communication and Public Relations.
Dr Arcaleni's expertise spans international contract law and negotiation, with a background in corporate and commercial law, aviation law, and yachting law.
He has been acting as Business Developer for Boutsen Aviation since 2024 in Malta, Italy, and Southern Europe.
Chris Thalhammer is an aviator, training captain, and technical pilot with more than 9,500 flight hours and over two decades of experience in business aviation. Based in Innsbruck, at the heart of the Alps, he strengthens Boutsen Aviation’s presence in the region and works with German-speaking clients across Europe.
Flying Bombardier aircraft since 2004, Chris has developed operational experience across multiple platforms. His career includes roles with Austrian Regional, VistaJet, TAG Aviation, Four Seasons, ACASS, and Flexjet, where he currently serves as Training Captain and Technical Pilot on the Bombardier Global XRS.
His operational and instructional experience, together with his relationships with owners, crews, and industry partners, further supports Boutsen Aviation’s activities across the region.
Elise Caraveo joined Boutsen Aviation in 2023 as Finance & Administration Manager, overseeing financial and operational administration, human resources, and compliance-related functions. Prior to joining Boutsen Aviation, she worked at Columbia University in New York within the President’s Office and the Treasury Department, contributing to projects related to global treasury operations, budgeting, and international travel safety. She holds dual Master’s degrees in French Literature from New York University and in English from the Université Côte d’Azur in Nice. Her experience across high-net-worth and multicultural environments complements Boutsen Aviation’s international operations.
With a Master’s degree in Communication and Graphic Industries, Laurent Lemonnier joined Boutsen Aviation at its founding in 1997. Prior to this, he spent five years working for a French aviation magazine. In 2004, he broadened his experience in digital technologies by joining a French company specializing in navigational guide publishing, further developing his interest in digital tools, user experience, and innovative solutions. Laurent returned full-time to Boutsen Aviation in 2011. He now oversees the company’s web development, digital infrastructure, including its intranet and extranet platforms, as well as its online communication channels.
